Some HDR shots I processed from my recent trip to New York. The Times Square shot has some great color in it but the pier shot is my favorite of the two. That shot is from Liberty Island looking at South Manhattan. There was a long pier stretching off that was blocked off from visitors. This blockade did not stop me from grabbing this shot though. A carefree style I have learned to have from other photographers I follow.

After 24 years of life I finally was in New York and did some sight seeing. It was a great trip since I have never been sight seeing before in NYC. My brother's girlfriend's brother was in town (did that make sense?) and we all went up for the day. I got to see the Statue of Liberty for the first time and it was an experience. I loved ever moment of it, except the climb up the steps to its' base. I can't wait to go back and capture more parts of this great city.

I try to find as much time to go out and practice playing with settings. In Jan I learned that to get the smooth glossy look on water I just needed to leave me shutter open for 3". I have wanted to try this out since than and finally had the time. I got done work and the sun was now setting later in the day. I quickly drove to this creek I love going to and was able to get these great shots. On the way back to the car this brightly colored moss caught my eye and was able to get the last two shots seen here.
